Apply to become Leiden University’s Student Representative to Una Europa
The Una Europa team at Leiden University is looking for a bachelor’s or master’s student to join the Una Europa Student Board. As our student representative, you will gain valuable experience in an international alliance, expand your network and attend Una Europa events on behalf of Leiden University.
Una Europa is an alliance of 11 leading European research universities, including Leiden University. Together we are building the university of the future! We collaborate to address pressing global and societal challenges, and to forge new paths and societal outreach.
The Student Board plays a key part in Una Europa. It speaks up for all students across the alliance and promotes Una Europa initiatives and opportunities to our student community. Board members work together to tackle problems students might be facing and act as a link between students and Una Europa staff.
Who we’re looking for
We’re seeking a motivated student who can commit around 15 hours each month to Una Europa activities. The actual commitment may vary month-to-month, and includes opportunities to attend alliance-wide meetings in Europe.
The Board works in English and candidates should therefore have C1 level English. Proficiency in Dutch is an advantage but not required.
The position is initially available for one year, with the possibility of renewal at the end of the first full academic year. Candidates who are available for a two-year mandate will be prioritized. The position is unpaid.

The first selection will be done by a current student board representative and a member of the Una Europa Project Team at Leiden University. Five participants will be invited for an online interview. We aim to hold this interview on Friday 7 June in the afternoon. Interviews will be held in English.
