Content
This course  is divided into 3 blocks of 3 lessons. Each block has its own teacher with its own expertise.

The first 3 lessons, (teacher: Maurice Braspenning), we will work with black ink and acrylic paint. The most important is to have fun creating and watching. The Japanese brush is a good way to work freehand and to allow more flexibility in the work.
We paint with acrylic with direct strokes. We work with brushes and spalters. We paint different subjects such as landscape, still life and an animal.

The second 3 lessons, (teacher: Lyda Bekker), we focus on painting, painting with acrylic paint. In three lessons you will learn how to build up a painting in layers, what the function is of color and which paint strokes you can make. We do this on the basis of various assignments and by looking at the work of well-known artists, but also at the work of each other.

The third 3 lessons, (teacher: Maurice Braspenning), we work with a “living model” (portrait and (nude) model).
We practice looking at the contour lines of a model, light/shadow, direction of lines/proportions, shapes and residual shapes. The material during these classes will be mainly charcoal.

The course includes use of material during the lessons.
You can buy materials for your home at Terpentijn. The first lesson receives a LAK student card that gives you a 10% discount at Terpentijn.
