Friday 16 June is Neurodiversity Pride Day. A day on which awareness, acceptance and community are highlighted and on which we may celebrate our diversity.
To bring attention to this topic, Leiden University, Leiden Municipality and Leiden University of Applied Sciences have partnered to organize meetings. The first of these is during Neurodiversity Pride Day.
During this meeting, we will use a short documentary (30min) to engage in an in-depth dialogue with those interested in the topic of neurodiversity from any point of view (be it personal or professional interest).
Neurodiversity; What? How? Why?
These three questions will be the focus of the dialogue on 16 June. After watching the film, all participants will dream about an inclusive society in which neurodiversity is the most normal thing in the world. We will also discuss which steps still need to be taken and see what you can already do tomorrow to achieve the dream!
The official dialogue will be as long as there is a need for it. Depending on the duration and interest, we will take breaks. There is also the possibility of taking a break to unwind.
In addition to the official programme, there will also be room for personal conversations over coffee or tea afterwards.
Programme:
14:00 Walk-in, introduction, opportunity to ask questions.
14:30 Start documentary.
15:00 Start dialogue.
17:00 Expected end of afternoon.
The end time is open, we don't want to force anyone to stay longer than they consider appropriate.
Language:
The video is in English with Dutch subtitles however the discussion will preferably conducted in Dutch.
