Leiden University Libraries (UBL) has seen an increase in the number of visitors seeking a place to study. In order to meet Leiden University students' concerns, UBL has chosen to regulate library and study place access.

Course reserve shelves are a convenient way to temporarily group library materials together, for use inside the library.

We have inspiring study places at all our locations. Some 2300 in total. Whether you want to work alone or in a group or need a computer, you will find the perfect spot in the library. Some study places have to be booked first.

Scanners, copiers and printers are available at all of our library locations.

Subject librarians and Medical Information specialists employ general criteria when evaluating titles to be added or removed from the collections, some criteria having greater or lesser importance depending on subject area.

The University Library's Open Science services are available to individual researchers as well as on the level of the University's faculties and institutes.
