On Thursday 30 April, the Mathematical Insitute hosts a special edition of the general mathematics colloqium. Field medal winner Manjul Bhargava (Princeton University, Leiden University) will present his lecture Magic squares, cubes and hypercubes: from ancient origins to recent results.

There will be tea, coffee and biscuits from 16.00. The lecture starts at 16.15.
Everybody is welcome. PhD students in mathematics in particular are strongly encouraged to attend.

About Manjul Bhargava
Manjul Bhargava is a mathematician specialising in number theory. He is a Professor at Princeton University and affiliated with Leiden University. In 2014, he was awarded the Fields Medal, one of the highest honours in mathematics, for his contributions to the geometry of numbers.
