De-registration - other modes of study
If you are a non-regular student at Leiden University, or following courses via another mode of study, different de-registration procedures are in place.
Termination of registration throughout the year as a guest student at Leiden University can be requested by submitting a termination of registration form. Your student registration will expire automatically at the end of the academic year.
As an auditing student at Leiden University you pay tuition fees for a whole academic year (September to August). Your student registration will expire automatically at the end of the academic year so there is no need to request de-registration.
Contract students should de-register directly with their study programme. Procedures can vary from programme to programme. Contact your programme’s education administration office for assistance.
