Diversity Policy Feedback Group is looking for new members

4 December 2017

The Diversity Policy Feedback Group is looking for new members from diverse backgrounds who are willing to commit themselves to making our university more inclusive. Critical thinking and the ability to give feedback in a constructive manner are some of your skills and, of course, you have affinity with diversity and inclusion.

Amount of time it will take

We get together every month for about 2 hours in Plexus Student Centre (Leiden). The preparation time for each meeting varies from 1 to 4 hours.  Besides the general meetings, we work on projects and sometimes visit diversity conferences. We expect applicants to be available for at least 1 (academic) year. A pro-active attitude is important.

About the Feedback Group

The goal of the Feedback Group is twofold: on the one hand, the group articulates policy advice to the Executive Board to stimulate diversity and inclusivity at Leiden University and on the other hand it aims to offer a space to exchange experiences.

The group consists of students and young alumni. Themed meetings and sessions dedicated to policy papers are alternated with meetings welcoming specialist guest speakers and other key figures. The efforts of the Feedback Group have led to the publication of a flyer on diversity, an annual report and several news items; reports of all meetings are also published.

We are happy to invite you for an interview. Send a short introduction of yourself to klankbordgroepdiversiteit@leidenuniv.nl.
