Student residence permit holders may now work more hours
Student residence permit holders are now permitted to work up to 16 hours per week alongside their studies. The previous limit was 10 hours per week. A work permit must still be requested by the employer for these 16 hours. Opportunities for doing an internship after graduation have also been expanded.
These changes are the result of a new EU directive that came into force on 23 May 2018. See the Nuffic website for more details.
