International Coming Out Day
Thursday, 11th October has been designated ”International Coming Out Day”. The Faculty of Archaeology is an enthusiastic supporter of the LGBT+ community, and the rainbow flag will be flying proudly at Van Steenis.
Dean, Jan Kolen, of the Faculty of Archaeology: “Our university, and especially the Faculty of Archaeology, is a close international community. It cannot be taken for granted, however, that all staff and students feel confident with being open about their sexual orientation. We are vigorous supporters of an inclusive university, where everybody can be themselves, and by flying the rainbow flag, the Faculty Board demonstrates continued attention and support for the LGBT+ community.”
