Want to organise our 444th birthday celebrations?
Are you creative? Do you know how to put a party together? And would you like to show everyone next year that the humanities are essential? Then you’re just the person we’re looking for to have on the Faculty of the Humanities 444th anniversary team!
In 2019, Leiden University will have been in existence for 444 years. Such a special anniversary calls for a special celebration. In the Faculty of the Humanities we are seizing this opportunity to show everyone, both internally and externally, what our research and teaching are all about and what our 444th anniversary means to the world around us. Or in other words: humanities matter in 444!
We are anticipating a particularly festive year, which we want to plan and celebrate together with both staff and students. For that reason, in every project group there is a place for enthusiastic students who will be involved right from the time the group is set up until implementation. In the document below, you can read in broad strokes what the content of the current projects will be and what will be expected of you on the various teams.
Think it would be fun to make an active contribution? Apply to join one or more of these project teams, and in the coming year you may have the opportunity to gain extra experience and make new connections by helping to organise these unique celebrations.
Send your CV and a short letter of application by December 1st to our 444 coordinator, Lyonne van Gaalen, indicating which project team(s) you would most like to participate in (if you have a preference). If you have any questions after reading this message, don’t hesitate to contact the coordinator.
