Vacancy: would you like to become a Student Ambassador?
The MA International Relations is looking for a Student Ambassador. Would you like to share your knowledge and experiences of studying the MA International Relations, with prospective students? Do you like organising events? (e.g. organising Student for a Day events). If so, you might have what it takes to be a student ambassador for the MA International Relations.
The MA International Relations programme is looking for a:
Student Ambassador (0.1 fte / approx. 4 hours a week)

In brief / description
You will provide prospective students with information about the MA International Relations at student-for-a-day-experiences. You will keep in touch with prospective students through email, organise Skype sessions and webinars.
Setting up and leading a promotional information team (recruiting and selecting students from the various MA International Relations specialisations), in consultation with the programme staff, and the Faculty Communication and Marketing professionals and/or:
Organising information activities such as ‘student for a day’ and webinars, working together with the Faculty Recruitment Officer (i.e. from organising and setting up the activities all through to tidying up at the end), and/or:
Arrange Skype meetings with prospective students, and/or:
Other tasks, such as: assisting with possible programme related events, such as Pre-Unions and Introduction Days.
We are looking for students who fulfil the following job requirements
- An MA International Relations student
- Affinity with communications and organising events
- Excellent oral and written skills in English
- Be presentable, enthusiastic, flexible, reliable and proactive
- Willing to work most of the 4 hours per week (or more hours per week in busy periods) at the Communications and Recruitment department in Leiden
We are offering
An interesting and varied position, which provides an excellent addition to your study. You will be appointed on a temporary basis (starting in the second semester, until September 2019. There will be a possibility for a contract extension to 1 year. The Student Ambassador position does not offer the prospect of a permanent contract. The salary will be in accordance with the student assistant scale of the CAO of Dutch Universities: gross salary maximum € 1958,00 per month (based on a full time contract of 1 Fte; 38 hours per week).
