Job opportunity: Facultymember of the Leiden University Studentplatform 2019-2020

For the 2019-2020 academic year, the Leiden University Studentplatform (LUS) is looking for new Faculty representatives from the 1st of September onwards. As a LUS Facultymember, you will represent the interests of all the students of youre, and provide advice to the Executive Board. Would you like to defend the interests of the students of your faculty? Are you interested in student actuality, do you have a broad network within your faculty and would you like to improve the education at Leiden University? You might be the one who we’re looking for!

About LUS
The LUS consists of seven facultymembers (one per faculty) and one chair. The Leiden University Student Platform (LUS) advises the Executive Board on matters of education and student affairs. The platform is also responsible for awarding of the Leiden Teaching prize (Leidse Onderwijsprijs).

The platform brings together different groups of students for ad hoc thematic meetings/ breakfastclubs, which address current issues arising from Leiden’s teaching agenda. During these meetings students get the opportunity to discuss those issues with members of the Executive Board.

The position requires approximately 3 hours per week, for which you will receive a compensation.

Who are we looking for?

Your profile:

  • You have a large network within your faculty;
  • You are interested in actualities and student politics at Leiden University;
  • You have the ability to defend the interests of the students;
  • You are aware of the responsibilities that come with the membership of the LUS
