Think up a plan and you could win the Van Bergen prize
How can you bring Dutch and international students together in times of corona?
Working at home, studying alone, doing jigsaws, baking bread – in today’s corona times you’re pretty much on your own. That can be hard on some people. Students can feel lonely and find it difficult to make contact with others and to keep the contacts going. It’s not just their study results that suffer but also their general wellbeing. And you can do something about that!
The annual Van Bergen prize rewards the best ideas for bringing students together. Have you got a creative idea to get international and Dutch students together, both digitally and in person, in ways that are corona proof? How can we make sure international students are well integrated? What can we do to encourage contact with their Dutch fellow students? How can we involve students who are studying while still abroad in our study association or work group, so that they feel they belong?
Think up a plan and you could win the Van Bergen prize of up to 5,000 euros to put your plan into action. Read more about the procedure and criteria on this website. This year the prize can be awarded to more than one plan.
Deadline: 23 October 2020. Study associations, faculties and institutes can submit proposals throughout the year. There is a fast-track assessment procedure for their plans.
