Your Programme (Committee) needs you. Nomination deadline extended.
Nominations welcome! The time frame has been extended to 20 September 2020.
Stand for election to become a student member of your Programme Committee
Do you feel responsible for the quality of your education? Do you have ideas about how it can be improved? Or do you want to work on your skills while helping your fellow students at the same time, or contribute to building an inclusive and diverse curriculum? Stand for election to become a student member of your Programme Committee!
As a member of this Committee, your main concern is the quality of education. Together with your fellow members you will evaluate the courses and suggest whether and how things could be improved. As a member of the Programme Committee, you make sure that the board of education remains self-critical and that the quality of your education is warranted or improved.
You can apply by sending an e-mail with your photo, your student number and a short electoral text in which you explain to your fellow students why they should vote for you (max. 200 words) to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Since there is no in-person campaigning this year we will also ask you to send a short video (maximum on 45 seconds) in which you introduce yourself to the other students. These videos will be made available on Brightspace in Introduction to International Relations (for IRO, the Hague) and Inleiding Internationale Politiek (for Political Science and the specialisation Internationale Politiek, Leiden).
If we receive more nominations that we have available spots, we will hold online elections at the end of September. Leiden University offers a short introductory course to the candidates that are finally selected.
You can apply until 20 September 2020 at the latest.
One important condition: you are available all year round for a monthly meeting (including preparations)!
