Student Support Groups: Join in or volunteer to help

16 November 2020

Are you finding it hard to motivate yourself to study at the moment? Are you looking for social contact and support? And do you want to meet new people, get together with fellow students to help and motivate each other or simply to connect and have a little fun together? Then why not join a Student Support Group.

Student Support Groups

Each group consists of six students and one staff member or student volunteer who will host your meetings. You will join in weekly one-hour online meetings in which you’ll discuss how everyone is doing, set personal wellbeing goals for the coming week and work on your personal development to help you through these challenging times. There will be room for serious talk but also fun elements and interactive exercises, which will help you to connect with other students.

Join a group

Dutch and international students from all programmes in Leiden and The Hague are welcome to join. Once we have received six applications, we’ll start a new group for a period of 8 weeks. Groups will start on a rolling basis in the coming months.

Volunteer to run a group

Maybe you’re feeling fine at the moment, which is great news. If so, why not volunteer to help out fellow students who need a bit of support. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to run a Student Support Group for a small remuneration.
