Vacancy: Student mentor Bachelor Security Studies

Job Description

Covid-19 has changed the academic world permanently. That is why we were committed to offer extra support for our new students last year. Due to its success and high appreciation we’re continuing this support. As a student mentor you will, together with another student mentor, supervise one group of approx. 50 first year students from Security Studies. As it appeared that not all first year students needed extra support last year, we predict to have around 20 enthusiastic first year students in your group that are eager to connect with you, other students and the university. You will organise an online and offline programme focused on introducing students to Leiden University, creating social bonding and improving the wellbeing of the students. As a student mentor you will give tips and guidance on how to manage studying, exams, systems (such as Brightspace), educational culture, choices further down the programme, and student life.
