Find the connection between art and science during Kennismakers 2021
Are you interested in art and are you curious about an artistic research process? Would you like the opportunity to work with a creative? If your answer is yes, we'd like to invite you to apply for Kennismakers 2021 (i.e. Knowledge Makers), the up-and-coming research project from ROEM where art and science meet.
Kennismakers 2021
Artists from ROEM are looking to develop an artistic and science based research project in collaboration with 11 students from University Leiden. During this collaboration, they will focus on a theme of choice that promotes cross-sectoral inspiration and interest. The research aspect of this collaboration does not proceed the creative process, but instead supports it and develops simultaneously. In turn, this given fact hopes to inspire a sense of experiment and unpredicted results, both creatively and intellectually. As an example, a biology student and a fine artist that works with clay could develop a research project and concept focused on living organisms within clay/soil. The project itself will start in September and during a period of 6 weeks you will work closely together with an artist on a creative/research process. Compensation will be available.
