Digital student card now available
As of the academic year 2021-2022, you will receive both a physical and a digital student card.
Supplement to your physical student card
The university expects to fully transition to digital student cards in the near future. However, for now it will act as a supplement to your physical student card which you will still need, for example when taking exams. Make sure to still carry your physical card with you!
In the Leiden University app
To use the digital student card, you will need the Leiden University app. The card will appear in the app within three days of the finalisation of your student registration.

Not visible in the app?
You will receive confirmation from uSis once your student registration at the university has been finalised. If your student card has not appeared in the app within three days, please contact Helpdesk Portal.
