Information session NVIC programme Fall 2022

12 October 2021

One of the options for study abroad for credits is a semester abroad in Cairo at the Netherlands-Flemish Institute (NVIC). The institute offers an interdisciplinary semester in Middle East Studies for students of 8 Dutch and Flemish universities, including students of Leiden University, primarily in the fields of International Studies. Half the semester (15 ECTS) is devoted to Arabic language acquisition, both Modern Standard Arabic and Egyptian Colloquial Arabic, while the other half is devoted to content courses on themes related to the Egyptian context and the Middle East at large. It is possible to go abroad to Cairo in the first or in the second semester.  See link for more information about the study abroad programme.

We will organize an online information session about the NVIC programme on Tuesday October 19, at 17:15-18:15 CET. The information session will be presented by dr. Ifdal Elsaket, Assistant Director and Programme Coordinator Arabic & Islamic Studies at the Netherlands-Flemish Institute in Cairo. You can join to learn more and ask questions about the programme.

The information session will take place via ZOOM. If you wish to attend the online session, you’ll need register for the information session via this link. We will send all students who registered the direct link to the info session on Monday October 18.

Looking forward to seeing you in the information session!
