Checks for classroom occupancy at KOG and Old Observatory

31 January 2024

From 5 February, over a period of three weeks, we will be checking the occupancy of the classrooms on the ground floor of the Kamerlingh Onnes Building and comparing this to the reservations in our system. This will also be done at the Old Observatory.

This can be done along the B0 corridor of the KOG building by looking through the classrooms’ glass partitions. However, along the other corridors – A0, A1 and C0 – and at the Old Observatory, a member of the Services Department (UFB) will have to briefly open the door to check whether the room is actually occupied.

This procedure is carried out every year by the UFB to ensure optimal use of our classrooms and to avoid last-minute booking requests from being wrongly rejected.

Thanks in advance for cooperating with these checks!
