450 years of Leiden University: Ahead of the times
In 2025, we will celebrate 450 years of Leiden University. As the oldest university in the Netherlands, we can’t let this anniversary pass unnoticed. The theme of our lustrum is ‘Ahead of the times’.
A lustrum is an excellent opportunity to look ahead with curiosity. Which direction do we want to take with our university, with our society? In what role can we continue to make a significant contribution to the pressing issues of our time? After all, as a university, we have been finding solutions and making a difference in society through science for centuries. In short, we have a 450-year tradition of innovation. And that is what we are going to celebrate.
