Join the Student Advisory & Action Group on Diversity, Inclusion and Wellbeing
Would you like to contribute to making the Faculty of Humanities a more diverse, equitable and inclusive community? Are you interested in sharing your ideas on diversity, inclusion and wellbeing in the learning environment? Then joining the Student Advisory & Action Group Diversity, Inclusion and Wellbeing (DIW) might be for you!
The Student Advisory & Action Group (DIW) is a representative body where students actively contribute to shaping the faculty’s Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) and wellbeing policies. In addition to providing feedback on policy, members are encouraged to take initiative, propose their own ideas, and help bring new projects to life.
This is a hands-on role for students who are passionate about creating a more inclusive and supportive academic environment— affinity with D&I and wellbeing is essential.
As a member of the Student Advisory & Action Group, you are part of a student-driven team of 8 members that turn ideas into action for Diversity & Inclusion and Wellbeing. Members meet once or twice a month for 1–2 hours to discuss ideas, give feedback, and help shape new initiatives. Some preparation is needed to make the most of the meetings as well as working proficiency in English.
Your time and contributions are valued—members receive a volunteer allowance for their involvement.
Do you want to help build a more inclusive faculty, offer meaningful student input, and learn how policy comes to life? Join us—we’d be excited to have you on our team! Please send a motivation letter (including your name, study programme and why diversity, inclusion and wellbeing are important to you) via email to studentadvisorygroup@hum.leidenuniv.nl before Wednesday May 28th 12:00PM and apply for a spot on the Advisory Group! We are looking for at least 3 new members. Short informal interviews will be held in the first week of June.
