To keep our bike parking facilities tidy and organised, a clean-up is carried out every three months. In the early morning, bikes that appear to be abandoned — also known as orphaned bikes — are tagged. If you find a tag on your bike, you can simply remove it yourself.

Bikes that are still in place four weeks after being tagged are considered orphaned and will be removed and placed in storage. These bikes are kept for at least one year before being permanently disposed of. If your bike has been removed, you can contact the Service Desk to collect it. The Service Desk is located in wing CE.0 of the Gorlaeus Building.

This tagging process will now take place every quarter.
