Tech Tip: Use These Handy Study Tools

In a world full of distractions and deadlines, it’s great to have digital tools that support you with planning, studying, and writing. This infographic highlights twelve popular and effective apps that are especially useful for students in higher education. With these tools, you can work more efficiently, study better, and navigate your academic life with more ease. Try a few and see what works best for you!

Productivity

These tools will help you write papers more quickly and with better structure:

  • Pomofocus helps you stay focused using the Pomodoro technique (25 minutes of work, 5-minute break).
  • Forest motivates you to stay off your phone: the longer you stay focused, the bigger your virtual tree grows.
  • Canva – A user-friendly design app for creating presentations, posters, and other visual study materials.

Note-taking

Use these tools to take notes on your work:

  • Notion is an all-in-one workspace for notes, tasks, calendars, and more. You can organize full courses or entire semesters.
  • Microsoft OneNote offers structure and flexibility in your note-taking: combine text, drawings, audio, and more. It's freely available to all Leiden University students as part of the Office 365 package.

Writing and Studying
