Exams? Enrol on time! Pilot scheme for emergencies

11 September 2025

You can only take part in an exam if you enrol for it in time via MyStudymap, i.e.:

  • Up to 10 days before the exam date.

Missed the deadline?

Check the information provided by your faculty or programme to see whether late enrolment, up to 5 days before the deadline, is still possible.

Pilot scheme for emergencies: report on location

This academic year, there is a pilot scheme in place whereby you might be permitted to sit an exam without prior enrolment.

How it works

  • Report to the exam location.
  • You will be asked to sign a ‘conditional participation’ form and will be placed on a waiting list.
  • Participation is not guaranteed - you can only take part if there is space available.
  • You may only start the exam 45 minutes after it begins; enrolled students who arrive late will be given priority.
  • The exam will still end at the regular time.
  • You are not entitled to any additional facilities, such as extra time for students with disabilities.
  • Afterwards, the student administration will check that you were eligible to sit the exam.

Last resort – not a substitute for enrolment

This pilot is intended as a last resort only. Always make sure to enrol on time to avoid stress and to ensure you can take the exam under the right conditions.

Pilot may be discontinued in case of disruption

If the pilot scheme causes too much disruption to students who enrolled on time, the university may decide to end the pilot early.
