LDE Sustainability Honours Programme

The programme consists of two courses: a lecture series (5 EC) and a sustainability challenge (10 EC). The lecture series brings you up to speed on key sustainability concepts and insights. How can we think of the climate as a system? How can we create useful interventions?

This fundamental knowledge will prepare you for tackling a Sustainability Challenge in a small, interdisciplinary team of students. Examples of possible challenges:

  • Develop sustainable solutions to the housing crisis.
  • Make sustainable technologies widely available in society.
  • Make an organisation's supply chain more circular.

LDE Space & Society Honours Programme

The programme consists of two parts: a lecture series (7 EC) and a space challenge (8 EC). First, experts will teach you about the drivers and boundaries of space activities, as well as global advancements in the space sector and the various applications that rely on it.
This knowledge will prepare you for then tackling a Space Challenge in a small, interdisciplinary team of students. Your challenge will address a problem faced by the space sector, such as:
  • Identifying and mitigating risks related to space debris.
  • Drafting a mission for the exploration of the Moon or Mars.
  • Creating a business plan to monitor climate change from space.
