The big day has arrived! On Monday 2 February, the first lectures will be given at the new University Campus Spui in the programmes Economics and Society, Public Sector Economics, and International Relations and Organisations. Immediately after the building work was completed in January, staff started settling into their offices at the new campus. Besides Leiden University, Campus Spui will also be used by Delft University of Technology, the Open University, the LUMC and the Universities of the Netherlands.

Cake, music and lecture
A celebration has been planned to mark the first lectures given at the new campus! After entering the building, students and colleagues will be greeted with live music from students of the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. An exhibition in the central hall explains the history of the building and everyone can record their presence on this memorable day with a visit to the photo booth. At 11.00, all colleagues and students present in the building are warmly invited to join us in the restaurant for coffee and cake. Another special feature is that top economist Gabriel Zucman has been invited by Egbert Jongen to give a lecture, which will start at 17.00. in 1B.12.

Official opening
Please note that the official opening of the University Campus Spui will be on Thursday 26 March. More information about that event will follow later.
