Students and Phd's: win a place at the Una Europa Student Congress

2 February 2026

Would you like an extra opportunity to attend the Una Europa Student Congress in June? Share your vision for the future of higher education and you could win a place at the congress, including the opportunity to present your ideas to all delegates!

Leiden University is hosting the Una Europa Student Congress  this June, bringing together students from across Europe to explore major societal challenges. Alongside the main call for Student Congress participants, there is now another way to take part: the 2026 Una Europa Student Award.

How to enter

Start by considering the two main themes for the 2026 Student Award: the Core Values of Higher Education and the Evolving Role of the University. On the Una Europa website you can find an explanation of each theme.

Next, choose a theme to focus on and make a video reflecting your thoughts.

The format is open and flexible. You can combine visuals, text, audio, narration, images, slides, animation, or spoken word.

We encourage you to think big and imagine boldly. You might act out a scenario, do a video interview with a student from the future, record spoken word with images, simulate a future class, walk us through campus, or create a ‘day in the life’ of a student in 2040.

Finally, submit your entry by 8 March at 23:59 CET.

If you win, you’ll attend the 2026 Una Europa Student Congress – this year in The Hague from 9-12 June. At the Congress, you’ll present your vision to delegates from across Europe.
