Municipal elections: vote at the university on 18 March

4 March 2026

Municipal elections are being held on Wednesday 18 March. If you’d like to cast your vote at one of our university buildings in Leiden, you can do so at Oude UB on Rapenburg. And, if you’ll be at Leiden Bio Science Park, you can vote at the University of Applied Sciences Leiden campus there.

Other polling stations in Leiden include the train station, the municipality building at LEVEL and the City Hall on Breestraat. And if you fancy combining voting with a museum visit, you can also vote at Museum De Lakenhal or the National Museum of Antiquities.

The polling stations in Leiden will be open from 07:30 to 21:00.

Voting in The Hague

If you live in The Hague, you can vote at Spui Campus on 18 March – a great opportunity take a look at the new building while you’re there. Students from Leiden University are running the polling station.

Internationals living in Leiden and The Hague

Internationals living in Leiden and The Hague may also be able to vote in the municipal elections. See the Leiden International Centre and The Hague International Centre websites to check whether you are eligible to vote on 18 March.
