Job vacancy: Student Ambassadors BSc Security Studies
The BSc Security Studies is looking for two Student Ambassadors to start on Monday 15 June 2026. In this role, you will gain valuable experience, expand your professional network, and represent the programme at key events. Do you enjoy sharing your experiences with prospective students? Are you interested in event organisation and public speaking? Then apply before wednesday 22 April 2026. First-year students are particularly encouraged to apply.
Your role
As a Student Ambassador, you will:
- Support and organise (online) open days, experience days, and student-for-a-day activities;
- Deliver presentations at secondary schools and university events;
- Coordinate and organise school visits;
- Help create and update promotional materials;
- Coordinate the student information team.
You will work closely with the Faculty of Governance and Global Affairs, the Institute for Security and Global Affairs, the communications department, and study coordinators.
Who are we looking for?
We seek three enthusiastic BSc Security Studies students who can start on Monday 15 June 2025 and are available for at least 14 months. Key recruitment activities sometimes take place on Saturdays (about four times a year) and/or in the evening.
Your profile
- Enthusiastic about the programme;
- Strong social, teamwork, and communication skills;
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); Dutch is a plus;
- Confident speaking to large audiences and on camera;
- Organised, responsible, and proactive;
- Approachable to school students and their parents;
- Independent, creative, and detail-oriented.
Time commitment: four hours per week on average basis. The actual commitment may vary week-to-week.
