Vacancy: Looking for new LUC Student Ambassadors

1 April 2025

Be a student ambassador for LUC!

For the upcoming semester and next academic year (2026-2027), LUC is looking for new Student Ambassadors.

This means being a representative of Leiden University College, The Hague. Student Ambassadors inform prospective students about our Liberal Arts and Sciences: Global Challenges programme at recruitment events.

Tasks might include, but are not limited to:

  • Representing LUC at internal and external recruitment events. Think open days, school fairs, counselor tours, etc.
  • Helping prospective students make their best possible study choice.
  • Connecting with admitted students in the spring semester.
  • Representing LUC on the online platform UniBuddy, where prospective students can ask questions about LUC or your experiences as a student. A select number of Student Ambassadors are on UniBuddy.

As a Student Ambassador, you want to be the person you would have liked to talk to when you were getting to know LUC. This does not necessarily mean the person with the slickest marketing pitch. For us, it is someone who answers questions honestly and is genuinely enthusiastic about their programme.

We are looking for students who fulfill the following requirements:

  • You are currently a student at LUC, preferably in your first year
  • You are enthusiastic about LUC
  • You are presentable, reliable, proactive, and flexible
  • You are available during our recruitment activities. Usually, there are 2 Open Days and 2-4 Experience Days per year. Peak moments are in October/November and February/March.

We are offering:

  • Training on the job
  • One-year contract with Job Motion
  • Hourly rate of €17,56

The workload varies between 1 and 16 hours a month depending on how busy. If you are selected to be UniBuddy on the university website, you are guaranteed at least 2 hours per month.

How to apply?

Apply via the form linked below, wherein we ask you to upload a video of max. 2.5 minutes, in which you:

  • Introduce yourself
  • Pitch LUC to the camera like you're talking to a friend who's never heard of it.
  • Share one thing about LUC that surprised you.
  • Ask us one question about the role

When assessing applications, we will look at how you complement the existing team of student ambassadors, paying attention to elements such as spoken languages and representation across all majors at LUC.

Apply through the button below before or on 8 May 2025! You can expect to hear back from us during the week of 17 May.

If you have any questions, please send an email to: communication@luc.leidenuniv.nl
