New Faculty Strategic Plan Archaeology

Faculty Strategic Plan

The new Faculty Strategic Plan (FSP) of the Faculty of Archaeology has officially been adopted, following the approval of the Faculty Council on February 3. With this, we collectively take an important step toward our future as an innovative, healthy, and internationally leading academic community.

As you may have noticed, the development of this plan was a communal and studious process. Over the past year, colleagues and students have shared their insights through discussions in various committees and during the Faculty-wide dialogue sessions on October 13 and 15. Those who were unable to attend were also given the opportunity to provide valuable feedback. All these contributions have been of great significance to the final result.

The FSP was drafted with input from, among others, the Departments and Chairs of Department, the Faculty Council, the Education Committee, the Board of Examiners, the Research Committee, the Diversity Committee, Alumni Association ALFA, Study Association L.A.S. Terra, the Advisory Board, and the Faculty Bureau. Your broad involvement has ensured a plan that is firmly rooted across the entire faculty.

The Faculty Board would like to extend our thanks to everyone for the time, effort, and reflections you have contributed. They are aware that may sometimes have come on top of ongoing work and that it’s not always easy to accommodate this in the planning. But the result is a widely supported plan, rather than a much more abstract ambition. Thanks to you, we have been able to create a shared and future-oriented strategic plan.
