Share your Leiden University experience with future students from around the world!

Are you an international bachelor's or master's student at Leiden University? Do you enjoy meeting new people, sharing your experiences, and helping prospective students find their place at our university? We are looking for two enthusiastic International Student Assistants to join our team from September 2026!

As an International Student Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the university's international recruitment and marketing activities. You will combine administrative work with student-facing responsibilities, helping prospective students from around the world learn more about studying and living in Leiden or The Hague.

What will you do?

As an International Student Assistant, you will:

• Welcome visitors to Leiden University and lead campus tours.
• Help organise visits for prospective students, schools, and counsellors.
• Represent Leiden University at Bachelor's and Master's Open Days, and other recruitment events.
• Participate in presentations, webinars, and online information sessions.
• Support the organisation and delivery of international recruitment events.
• Respond to email enquiries from prospective international students.
• Assist with administrative tasks, such as preparing mailings, assembling information packages, and shipping promotional materials.
• Contribute to promotional content by participating in photoshoots, videos, vlogs, and social media campaigns.
• Support the International Recruitment team with a variety of additional tasks when needed.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for students who are enthusiastic about their experience at Leiden University and enjoy connecting with people from diverse backgrounds.

You are:

• Currently enrolled as an international bachelor's or master's student at Leiden University.
• An excellent communicator in English, both spoken and written. Additional language skills are a plus.
• Able to communicate in Dutch is a plus.
• Friendly, approachable, and confident in interacting with prospective students.
• Interested in developing your presentation and public speaking skills.
• Comfortable appearing in promotional photos, videos, and social media content.
• Well organised, initiative-taking, and able to work independently.
• Accurate, reliable, and attentive to detail.
• Positive, service-oriented, and eager to learn.
• A team player who enjoys working in an international environment.
• Available for at least 12 months, starting in September 2026.
