Ideas on how to improve your programme? Join the Programme Committee as a student member!

8 September 2026

Would you like to help shape your study programme and gain valuable experience? Then become a student member of the Programme Committee for the upcoming academic year!
As a student member, you’ll represent your fellow students and actively contribute to improving your own study programme.

What does a programme committee do?

Together with a number of students and teachers, you work in the Programme Committee (OLC) to improve the quality of the programme. The OLC discusses points of improvement, gives consideration to the Course and Examination Regulations, handles student complaints and draws up reports based on course evaluations. The OLC can advise the Programme Board and the Faculty Board on all aspects of education. As a student member, you can directly influence the curriculum and study experience of your own programme.

Apply as a Candidate

Until 27 September 2026, you can apply to become a student member of the Programme Committee (OLC) for your own degree programme. You can apply via the button below. Students from all years of study — from first-year students to Master’s students — as well as international students are warmly encouraged to apply. If more students apply than there are available positions, an election will be held in 5th - 9th October for the relevant programmes.

  • You can easily combine this task with your study (it takes on average 4 hours a month).
  • You will receive two professional trainings to prepare you for this task.
  • You will receive a remuneration of 315 euros for you work at the end of the academic year.
  • You will receive an official certificate for your work.
  • You will build a network within your own academic field and the faculty.
  • This experience in policy making will stay with you for the rest of your life and is an excellent addition to your CV.

Join your Programme Board

In addition to a Programme Committee, every bachelor's and master's degree has a Programme Board. The Programme Board is responsible for the degree programme: this includes designing the curriculum and overseeing its implementation. Each Programme Board also includes a student member.

Degree programmes regularly look for new student members to join the board. Interested? Then keep an eye on your email and messages from your programme – it’s possible that your degree is soon looking for a student to contribute at the board level.
