Did you authorise Leiden University to collect your tuition fee via debit? The scheduled date for the (first) direct debit was 26 October 2026. However, due to an error in our direct debit process, some debits took place on 22 October, and others will take place on 23 October. Our sincere apologies for this error.

What happens now?

If there were insufficient funds in your account during the first direct debit attempt, the bank will make another attempt to collect the payment. Please make sure you have sufficient funds in your account as soon as possible to ensure the debit is successful.

If the second direct debit also fails, Leiden University will send you an email with instructions on how to make payment. Please await this email before taking action.
