Update: Vision for Future Accomodation FSW
The Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences is preparing to move to a new building in 2035. Two possible locations are being considered: the Sylvius Building and the Huygens/Oort Building.
The Faculty Board has drawn up a vision for future accommodation, incorporating input from the various institutes and covering education, research and operational management. Students, lecturers and researchers have also been involved. The vision focuses, among other things, on accommodation that is accessible, recognisable and future-proof, providing space for education, research, collaboration and social interaction.
The vision has now been discussed with Leiden University’s Real Estate department. A joint recommendation is expected to be submitted to the Executive Board later in 2026. The Executive Board will make the final decision on the location.
