Live mentor network: speed-date with alumni

‘It’s really useful to be able to exchange ideas with someone who is more experienced, and who has been in the same situation as you.’ If that idea appeals to you too, come along to our live mentor network: speed-date with alumni on Thursday 22 March!

What options do I have with my study after graduating? How have others found their current job? And what skills and strategies can help me get my dream job? Get an answer to all these questions during the ‘Mentor network live; speed dating with alumni’ event on Thursday the 22nd of March.

During the speed dates you are talking live with alumni of our faculty. You can ask them questions about their job or the sector they work in. And find out what they have done to get their current job.

There will be alumni present with experience in:

  • Journalism/Publishing/Cultural sector
  • Science
  • HR
  • Coaching/Tutoring
  • Public Affairs/Communication
  • Business Intelligence/Institutional research

There will be drinks after the speed-date so you will have every opportunity to talk  and network with the alumni.

The speed-date takes place from 16.30 to 18.00 hrs. The drinks and networking take place from 18.00 to 19.00 hrs. The registration fee is €2,50 (incl. drinks).

All alumni present at the speed date event are registered as a mentor in the mentor network of Leiden University.

On this online platform you can easily reach out to alumni with questions about what master to choose or ask about the first steps on the labour market. Mentors on this platform work in different sectors like the public or private sector, education or the cultural sector. They enjoy advising students about their choices on the labour market and like to share their knowledge and experience.

Register quickly, because there are only limited places available!

This workshop is meant for humanities students and humanities alumni (graduated within the last year).
