For anyone who wants to have fun learning new choreos to pop music! All levels and all genders are welcome to join this course.

Content
Commercial Pop represents dance in commercial productions, such as music videos, commercials and televised performances. In this course we will work according to a set order. We warm up the whole body, and then we do exercises throughout the space to train our ‘stage presence’. 
Finally, we learn a piece of choreography to pop music. As a result, you will learn Commercial Pop every week!

At the end of the course there will be a final presentation in a theatre, planned on 15 December 2025.

Teacher
Shanice Mitchell is a passionate dancer who loves performing, choreographing and teaching. She graduated from the Dance in Education programme of the Amsterdam University of the Arts (AHK), and has worked in primary education, secondary education, dance studios and other cultural organizations as a dance teacher. Shanice draws inspiration from different dance styles and musical genres to fuse it into her own way of moving. Her class is about creating openness to trying new things, having fun and enjoying the process.
