Baladi is the soul of Egyptian belly dance and in this short workshop Rachid will teach you to improvise and dance from your feelings.

Baladi, what ao. my land means is characterized by flowing earthly body and hip movements to accordion melodies. In the lessons we will pay attention to the different aspects of this typical music style and dance that represents the Egyptian people.

Teacher
Rachid Alexander was born on Curaçao and is a trained oriental dancer. Now residing in The Netherlands, he is one of Europe’s most sought after male belly dancers. Rachid performs all over Europe, the USA, Asia and The Caribbean in dance festivals, expos and galas. He teaches workshops to share this art and has judged several dance competitions. He's a very skilled teacher and dancer.
