Painting with acrylics: sources of inspiration

4 lessons on Tuesday from 19:30-22:00 h

Lyda Bekker
Work from student Marije Bettonviel

For whom
All levels welcome

In this short course you will look for sources of inspiration. What topics do you like, what do you want to tell and how do you translate this into an interesting image. Different aspects are discussed in the lessons, such as use of color, composition and handwriting. We work with different materials, acrylic paint, chalk and ink. In the first lesson, have a few photos on your phone of different objects you come across in the house. This can be anything: a candlestick, a plant, a lamp, etc. We will work with this in class, during the course you can expand your photo archive with tips from the teacher.

Lyda Bekker studied at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. She also studied for several months in New York at the School of Visual Arts. She works as an artist and teacher.
