Portrait/Figure drawing

Wednesday from 19:30-22:00 h

Teacher
Iemke van Dijk

For whom
Beginning and advanced students.  Minimum age: 18 years.

Content
In this course we work on a 'living model'.
We mainly work with (large format) charcoal, standing behind an easel.
You will practice focusing on alternating contour, light/shadow, direction/proportion and shape/residual shape.
Anatomy is also offered. All these aspects come together when we continue working on a drawing for longer. Drawing as a registration of the viewing process, separate from a proposed end result, which makes you enjoy drawing.
The course also uses many examples of work by, for example, Durer, Rembrandt and Matisse to clarify the assignments.
This course will also further deepen art appreciation.

The course includes use of material during the lessons.
You can buy materials for at home at Terpentijn. The first lesson you receive a LAK student card that gives you a 10% discount at Terpentijn.
