Exhibition of Free Painting Course Participants at the Kunstgang

From 10 June to 16 July, the Kunstgang at the Lipsius Building will host an exhibition featuring work by participants of the Free Painting course, taught by Lyda Bekker. The exhibition is a collaboration between Kunstgang and LAK Creative Courses.

During the course, participants work independently on self-chosen subjects. Sources of inspiration range from holiday photographs and still lifes to portraits, imaginative work and studies based on old masters. Some participants work from photography, while others explore imagination and experimentation. The course welcomes both beginners and more experienced makers, resulting in a varied and inspiring exhibition.

Tutor Lyda Bekker guides participants individually throughout the creative process and supports them in making choices regarding subject matter, composition and use of materials. Since graduating from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, she has worked as a visual artist and teacher.
