The course is suitable for both beginners and advanced artists.

Content
In this course, we work from a live model.
We primarily use charcoal on large-format paper while standing at an easel.
Exercises will focus on shifting our gaze between contours, light and shadow, direction and proportion, and form versus negative space.
All these aspects come together as we develop a drawing.

Use of materials during the lessons is included in the course fee.

Teacher
The workshop is led by visual artist Robbert Kiewiet, a graduate of the Utrecht School of the Arts (HKU) specializing in autonomous art.
Robbert has over 15 years of teaching experience. He has taught at an art academy for 10 years, worked as an instructor for 'Beelden in Leiden' for 4 years, and conducted painting courses in Spain for 5 years. Additionally, Robbert has been providing painting workshops for companies and groups since 1998.
