DSFW: Linocut printing on textiles
Wednesday 7 October 9:30-12:30 h
- Teacher
- Arjenn Fakkel
For whom
Everyone interested in printing on textiles is welcome.
Content
Bring a cotton bag, tea towel, or T-shirt to this workshop—whatever item you’d like to apply your own linocut print to!
We will start the workshop by sketching a design, which we will then adapt into a pattern for a linocut.
Next, you will carve away the areas you do not wish to print; once that is done, you will create your linocut print on the item you brought along.
Use of materials is included in the workshop.
Teacher
The classes are taught by visual artist and art educator Arjenne Fakkel. Arjenne is a graduate of the KABK (Royal Academy of Art) in The Hague. She has a studio in Leiden and teaches at various locations, including Museum De Lakenhal. She has developed workshops for people with dementia and their caregivers, among others, and is active with *Kunstoprecept*. She is proficient in Dutch Sign Language.
