LAK arts and culture courses
The LAK offers a range of courses in the arts, for example courses in drama, dance, drawing, painting, singing, photography and literature. LAK courses are open to anyone aged 17 or older.
At the end of your LAK course in dance, singing or drama you can take part in a final show held at a local theatre. Of course participation is optional and upon consultation with your course teacher.
The LAK has studios for theatre, dance, music and art. Studio space can also be hired.
LAK front office opening hours
The LAK front office is open Mondays to Thursdays from 10:00 till 14:00. If the front office is temporarily unstaffed please send a mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 071 - 527 2314/2317 to make an appointment.

Spring and autumn semester
LAK courses are offered on a semester basis: spring semester (February start) and autumn semester (September start). In the summer months (July and August) the LAK also offers a selection of summer courses and workshops. You can also attend weekend workshops, or workshops organised in collaboration with the university’s studium generale department and other partners. Keep up to date all upcoming courses via the LAK courses website.
The LAK also offers tailor-made workshops for events such as company outings, bachelor(ette) parties, children’s parties and much more.
Leiden University students pay reduced fees and rent for LAK courses and facilities.
