Workshop: Become a more efficient writer - Science
Do you find yourself procrastinating writing? Do you struggle with structuring your scientific paper? In this workshop we will speedwrite parts of your scientific paper together. It doesn’t matter if you still have to write or have written something already, we will teach you a method to become a more efficient writer along the way.

What can you expect from this workshop?
Efficiency in writing starts with structure and a clear writing process. In this workshop we will go through all the important elements of a scientific paper; the introduction, methods, results and discussion. You will learn the logic and flow behind this structure and how you can speedwrite these parts yourself using an outline as a starting point.
In this workshop you will:
- learn the importance of writing alongside the research cycle for efficiency;
- speedwrite parts of your own writing assignment on the spot;
- experience the efficiency of a writing process; from outlining, drafting to editing your paper. Depending on your progress so far you can decide for each section if you want to create an outline, draft of edit your work.

What should you bring to the workshop?
In this workshop you will practice with speedwriting parts of your current writing assignment. Therefore please bring information you need to be able to write. For example; the guidelines for your writing assignment, information you gathered from your literature research or experiment, the document you are currently writing in etc.
For whom?
For students of the Faculty of Science. This workshop is suitable for bachelor and master students.
This workshop is only suitable for students that are currently writing a scientific paper.
