If you’re thinking of stating your career in the Netherlands, you probably have a lot of questions about job prospects and the kind of opportunities and challenges that await you.

At the International Student Career Event, Leiden international alumni will share their experiences and provide tips and inspiration to help you get your career off to a good start. You’ll also hear from professionals, who will offer advice and guidance on practical issues faced by both EU and non-EU students. Of course there’ll also be plenty of opportunity to meet and network with alumni.

  1. Information session – Rules, Regulations and Taxes; Get informed about the procedures and regulation related to the Orientation Year for Non-EU students, taxes and other legal issues.
  2. Workshop – Application skills and strategy; The art of presenting yourself to a future employer. Find out how to adjust your CV and write an effective job application letter, etc.
  3. Workshop – Professional Networking and Social Media; A practical journey into digital possibilities. Learn to benefit from social media.
  4. Workshop – How to Start-Up?; Smart work is more important than hard work. Learn how to overcome the hurdles to start a business in the Netherlands.
