Workshop Dragon & Talent

Ever wonder what unique combination of skills you already possess that can set you apart, both during your studies and in your future career? Curious about your hidden self-sabotaging behaviors that hold you back under pressure and how to tame them? Looking for insight into how to use your unique traits for greater success during learning, in groups, internships and beyond?

Thalia Thomassen  (Vaardigheidsdocent) Fie Luijten  (Junior trainer/coach)
On-campus seminar with online preparation

What to expect?

In this workshop, we will create a safe and encouraging environment in which we can explore personal strengths and weaknesses. The goal of this workshop is to identify aspects of your ‘unique talent’, and your most active ‘dragon’. Every human has a unique set of sensors and behaviors that make them interact with the world around them in a unique way. We will explore the natural sensors and behaviors that create your unique contribution to this world (Talent), and we will explore what beliefs and behavior patterns currently hold you back in life (Dragon). The understanding of personal strengths and weaknesses can help you coach yourself, and guide the choices that you make in life, to create an environment in which you can thrive.

Online preparation

As a compulsory preparation, you will answer self-reflective questions in your own online ‘Learning My Way’ portfolio. After the seminar it is possible to continue your own learning process:

  • you can sign up for other modules in your online portfolio;
  • you can make use of a one-on-one coaching session.

Who can participate?

All FSW students. Be aware that parts of this seminar are currently also embedded in the Learning My Way programme in several bachelor programmes, for example: in the bachelor programmes of IRO (ENG), Politieke Wetenschappen (NL) and Pedagogische Wetenschappen (NL), Honours College FSW (ENG) and in the Political Science masters. If you have attended this seminar already, you are still very welcome to review your purpose diagram and competencies, since personal development is an ongoing process.
