What does inclusivity mean in an academic context? What can be your contribution? Mpanzu Bamenga, Policy Officer for Diversity and Inclusivity at Leiden University,will address different ways in wich you can act more inclusive in everyday life.
About the lecturer
Mpanzu Bamenga is a Policy Officer for Diversity and Inclusivity at the university. He was born in Zaire but came to the Netherlands with his mother and brother in search of asylumin 1994. For 13 years, he resided in the Netherlands without any status. After attaining permission to remain in the Netherlands, he studied and practiced European and national asylum and immigration law. He also became a councilor (raadslid) in Eindhoven for D66 between 2014 and 2018. Mpanzu was elected as the political talent of the year in Eindhoven for 2015. He is the founder of INCLEADERS, the Inclusion Leaders Network and has previously been an invited speaker at the 2016 Congressional Black Caucus Foundation event.
