SURF EdTech Zone Market: Meet Startups from EdTech Validation Programme
- Wednesday 15 January 2020
- Centre for Innovation
2511 VA Den Haag
- Living Lab
On January 15 the Centre for Innovation of Leiden University will organise a marketplace for Educational Technology Startups from the SURF EdTech validation programme from 15:00 to 17:00, followed by networking drinks until 18:00.
After an introductory presentation from Michelle Olmstead, director of the Centre for Innovation, 8 early-stage startups in EdTech will share a short pitch about their work and how they hope to innovate and impact education. Participants will then have the opportunity to meet with the startups. This event is for students and teachers interested in innovative tools to support their education, as well as for staff who are interested in digital solutions for education. We hope to bring together a diverse community from Leiden who can connect with these startups both as potential collaborators and as end-users of their innovations.
Some of the attending startups include:
SQill: A collaborative online working environment to create and structure curriculum development
6 Bit Education: A tool that learns how you give feedback and automatically does it for you
Max Brain: Meeting the needs of professional learners by offering flexible, accessible online education
Orvium: Connecting researchers and publishers with trusted reviewers to accelerate publishing and incentivise peer review
If you are interested in attending, please register here.
The Centre for Innovation fosters collaboration within Leiden University and between international academic institutions, societal actors and the private sector. In this collaborative environment we identify, validate and transfer innovations to harness the full potential of the digital age for education and to resolve societal challenges.
